Hello Everyone!

Hi there! My name is Lauren. I'm a 16 year old writer. I'm a Junior in high school, and an active dancer. I've been writing since middle school and my stories are mostly around the science fiction and fantasy genre. But this time I decided to try something different. I'm working on a story about an autistic boy, but I don't feel that I have enough info to make the story proper. Therefore, this is my call-out to everyone who is autistic, knows someone who's autistic, or has a child who is autistic. I realize that this topic is going to be very difficult for me to write, but I believe that challenges are blessing that help improve people. Therefore I am taking this challenge 10-fold and going all out. But I need all of you to help me. Any stories or pictures or anything that may help this story become great, PLEASE post them here! Also, please also comment if I am allowed to contact you over the writing period. This contact would include you answering a few questions on autism and what it is like, as well as updates on the story if you wish to have it. As I receive more information about autism, I will work on my part of the deal and write as much as I can. I sincerely hope that I can further chat with the autistic community.

So far I have only received information from my aunt, who has an autistic child. So far, the small amount of my story is based off of his autism and things I've learned on the internet. But I hope that this outreach will spread across the community, the country, or even the world so that we can all realize how autism affects others and ourselves.
